Music Lessons are in Owego NY (year round) , Vestal NY (Sept-May), or Virtual (year round).
Sarah offers private instruction for students ages 5+ on:
Violin
Ukulele
Cello
Viola
as well as Animal Adventures in Music lessons for younger students (ages 3-7).
Each lesson is tailored to the students strengths and weaknesses and is loosely structured as follows.
5 Minutes – Welcome/ Scales / Warmups (to prevent injury and work on essential skills)
15-20 Minutes – Instruction on Technique / Piece(s) / Songs (the “core” of the lesson)
5-10 Minutes – An educational game (to review a concept gone over in the current lesson, practice a previously learned concept, or sometimes introduce a new concept) This part is longer for younger students and shorter or sometimes skipped for older or adult students.
I suggest students start with a 30 minute. I do also offer 15-20 minute lessons for students with little attention spans, and 45 or 60 minute lessons for more advanced students.
