Sarah (Showers) Webb (or Miss Sarah as her students tend to call her) was born and raised in Owego NY.
She was homeschooled and grew up taking private Violin and Cello lessons. She was a member of the Binghamton Youth Symphony Orchestra from 6th-12th grade.
In 2018 she graduated from the Greatbatch School of Music (at Houghton College) with a degree in music education (strings emphasis) and a business minor.
From her upbringing and education she carries with her a few key beliefs which influence her teaching style.
- Everyone can learn music
- There is no such thing as too old to learn to play an instrument
- Children learn best through play
- Music is and music lessons should be an enjoyable experience. Although everyone should be encouraged to do their best no one should be pushed harder or faster then they want to progress.
